University of Edinburgh Business School Data Analytics Scholarship 2026 — £5,000 for MSc Data and Decision Analytics Students (Deadline: 1 July 2026)

University of Edinburgh Business School Data Analytics Scholarship 2026 — £5,000 for MSc Data and Decision Analytics Students (Deadline: 1 July 2026)

If you already hold an offer for the MSc Data and Decision Analytics (Online) at the University of Edinburgh Business School — or you are in the process of applying and expect one soon, there is a £5,000 scholarship attached to that programme that closes on 1 July 2026.

That is less than four weeks away. If this applies to you, the time to act is now.

What the Scholarship Is

The Business School Data Analytics (Online) Scholarship is a merit-based award worth £5,000, available exclusively to offer holders for the MSc Data and Decision Analytics (Online) programme starting September 2026.

It is not a fully funded scholarship. It is a partial award that reduces your tuition cost by £5,000, paid in two equal instalments — one in Year 1 and one in Year 2 of the programme.

For a programme of this calibre at one of the world’s top-ranked universities, £5,000 off tuition is a meaningful reduction and worth the time it takes to apply.

Who Can Apply

You are eligible if:

  • You hold a conditional or unconditional offer for the MSc Data and Decision Analytics (Online) at Edinburgh Business School
  • You have either firmly accepted the offer or intend to do so
  • Your offer remains active throughout the scholarship application process

You are not eligible if:

  • Your employer is fully sponsoring your studies
  • You are already receiving a full scholarship
  • You have already accepted another scholarship from the University of Edinburgh
  • You apply before securing your programme offer

One important administrative note: it can take up to 10 working days after submitting your study application before you can access the scholarship system. If you have only recently applied for the programme, factor that delay into your timeline.

What They Are Looking For

The selection panel evaluates three things:

Academic performance, your undergraduate and any postgraduate grades. Strong academic records from Nigerian and African universities are considered. If your grades are competitive, say so clearly and back it up with your transcript.

Contribution to the programme: how your background, perspective, and experience will add to the diversity of the MSc cohort. As an African applicant in an online programme that draws from across the world, your professional context and the problems you have worked on are genuinely distinctive. Use that.

Professional and personal skills, work experience, extracurricular activities, leadership roles, side projects. If you have worked in tech, data, finance, agriculture, healthcare, or any sector where data decisions matter, that is directly relevant here.

How to Apply

The scholarship application is submitted through EUCLID, accessed via the University of Edinburgh’s MyEd portal. You will need your University username and password — these are issued when you receive your programme offer.

Steps:

  1. Receive your offer for the MSc Data and Decision Analytics (Online)
  2. Log into MyEd at myed.ed.ac.uk
  3. Navigate to EUCLID and find the online scholarship application form
  4. Submit before the deadline

Application window: 16 March 2026, 1 July 2026 at 23:59 Decision by: 31 July 2026

If you need help accessing the system, the University provides support through their Scholarships System FAQs for Applicants and University Systems support pages — both accessible through MyEd.

Conditions to Know Before You Accept

If you are awarded the scholarship:

  • The £5,000 is paid directly toward tuition in two equal instalments across Years 1 and 2
  • You must accept the scholarship by the deadline in your award letter
  • You must pay the required programme deposit within the given timeframe — failing to do so forfeits both the scholarship and your programme offer
  • You cannot hold any other University of Edinburgh scholarship alongside this one
  • You will be expected to occasionally serve as a Business School ambassador during and after your programme — this is light-touch and typically involves sharing your experience at events or in marketing materials

About the Programme

The MSc Data and Decision Analytics is an online Master’s programme run by Edinburgh Business School — the business faculty of the University of Edinburgh, consistently ranked among the top universities in the world. The programme focuses on data analytics applied to business decision-making, covering quantitative methods, data science, and strategic analytics.

The online format means you can complete it from Nigeria without relocating, while the Edinburgh degree carries full international weight on your CV. For professionals working in fintech, consulting, healthcare data, agribusiness analytics, or any field where data increasingly drives decisions, this is a strong qualification to hold.

Is This Worth Applying For?

If you already have the offer, yes — unambiguously. The application takes time to prepare well, but £5,000 is not a small amount, and the selection criteria are things you can genuinely address if your profile is strong.

The one thing that eliminates most people from consideration is not applying at all. The deadline is 1 July 2026. If you have the offer, open MyEd today.
