Bode Amao Foundation Scholarship: Support for Indigent Nigerian University Students

Bode Amao Foundation Scholarship (Nigeria)

Title: Bode Amao Foundation Scholarship: Support for Indigent Nigerian University Students

Meta description: The Bode Amao Foundation has supported over 247 Nigerian students across 28 universities. Here’s who qualifies and how to apply for this undergraduate scholarship.

Body:

This is one of the quieter but longer-running scholarship programs for Nigerian undergraduates — the Bode Amao Foundation has already put over 247 students from every geopolitical zone in Nigeria through school, across 28 universities, and they’re still taking applications.

The mission is specific: support academically strong but genuinely indigent Nigerian undergraduates, regardless of tribe, sex, religion, or age. If you’re looking for a scholarship built around financial need rather than just grades, this is a rare one that says so upfront.

Who can apply:

  • Registered Nigerian undergraduate students only (no international applicants)
  • At least 200 level in your course at the time you submit the form
  • Strong CGPA — academic performance is the primary determining factor
  • Your university’s Registrar must formally certify that you are truly indigent — this isn’t a self-declaration, it needs institutional backing

How to apply:

  • Get the application form free from the foundation’s website or your university Registrar’s office
  • Fill it out and get it attested by your Registrar confirming you’re registered for the current academic year
  • Submit only one entry — the foundation is explicit that duplicate entries or false information lead to automatic disqualification
