Product Manager at Multigate, Lagos, Nigeria

The Product Manager will drive the development and enhancement of modules within the Treasury & Trade OS. This role requires driving product vision, strategy, and execution while ensuring alignment with market needs and business goals through close collaboration with cross-functional teams. The Product Manager will translate complex financial workflows into well-defined product requirements and ensure high-quality, predictable delivery in collaboration with Engineering, Design, Compliance and Commercial teams.

Key Outcomes

End-to-End Feature Delivery:

  • Translate strategic priorities into actionable product requirements.
  • Write clear PRDs, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
  • Prioritise and manage backlog effectively.
  • Lead sprint planning and release coordination.

Cross-Module Coordination:

  • Work across modules (Treasury, FX, Payments, Trade Finance, and Supply Chain Finance)
  • Ensure feature alignment and avoid workflow fragmentation.
  • Support integration consistency across the OS.

Enterprise Workflow Translation:

  • Understand treasury, trade, and finance team workflows.
  • Convert operational needs into intuitive product flows.
  • Support configuration logic for multi-entity, multi-bank environments.

Regulatory & Compliance Alignment

  • Collaborate with the Compliance Division to ensure product updates meet regulatory standards.
  • Embed control logic into feature design.
  • Support audit readiness and documentation clarity.

Performance & Delivery Metrics:

  • Monitor feature adoption and usage.
  • Track release velocity and predictability.
  • Identify bottlenecks and improve execution efficiency.

  • Product Strategy & Vision: Ability to define clear product roadmaps, conduct market analysis, identify trends and competitive landscapes, and develop compelling business cases for new initiatives
  • Product Lifecycle Management: Expertise in leading end-to-end product development from concept to launch, including feature prioritization, user acceptance testing, and post-launch performance tracking
  • Stakeholder Management: Exceptional ability to engage with diverse stakeholders (customers, sales, partners, internal teams) and communicate product vision effectively
  • Regulatory & Compliance Knowledge: Deep understanding of regulatory requirements in financial services, particularly in multi-bank connectivity, SWIFT for Corporates, Trade Finance, and Open-Banking
  • Financial Acumen: Strong capabilities in financial analysis, pricing strategy development, business model design, and performance metrics monitoring
  • Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies, JIRA, data analysis, financial modeling, APIs, and system integrations
  • Communication Excellence: Outstanding written and verbal communication skills with the ability to convey complex concepts to diverse audiences and create clear documentation
  • Analytical Problem-Solving: Strong analytical mindset with proven problem-solving abilities in complex product environments
  • Leadership & Collaboration: Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and work collaboratively with Engineering, Product Design, Quality Assurance, and business stakeholders

Critical Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or equivalent advanced degree is preferred
  • 4-6 years of product management experience with a strong focus on financial services
  • Proven track record of managing complex product portfolios and delivering market-leading solutions in fintech, banking, treasury systems, payments, or financial software.
  • Deep understanding of treasury management and supply chain finance.
  • Demonstrated experience with regulatory compliance and risk management in financial services
  • Hands-on experience with modern product management tools and methodologies (Agile, Scrum, JIRA)
  • Experience with data analysis and financial modeling in a product management context
  • Knowledge of software development processes and technologies relevant to financial services
  • Practical understanding of APIs and system integrations
