Job Description

Charterhouse Lagos is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Data & MIS Intern to join our Data Team.

The successful candidate will support data management, reporting, MIS administration, and data quality activities while gaining valuable hands-on experience in a dynamic school environment.

Key Responsibilities

● Assist with the accurate entry, updating, and maintenance of student, staff, and school records on the MIS.

● Verify and validate data to ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency.

● Support the preparation of attendance, assessment, behaviour, safeguarding, and other school reports.

● Assist with analysing school data to identify trends and support informed decision-making.

● Support data imports, exports, and system updates.

● Assist staff with basic MIS and reporting queries.

● Organise and maintain electronic records and data documentation.

● Support projects aimed at improving data quality and reporting processes.

● Handle confidential information in line with school policies and data protection requirements.

Minimum Qualifications

● Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Management, or a related field.

● 0–1 year of experience in data management, database administration, or MIS development.

● Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.

● Knowledge of data privacy and security regulations.

● Familiarity with data visualisation tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar platforms is desirable.

● Previous experience working with school management systems is desirable.

● Excellent communication and presentation skills.

● Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.

● Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
