Aalto University Master’s Admissions 2026: Overview

Aalto University, Finland, opens applications once a year for its prestigious two-year Master’s programs in Art & Design, Business & Economics, and Technology & Engineering. For the Autumn 2026 intake, the application period runs from 1 December 2025 to 2 January 2026.

Students may apply to a maximum of two study options under one application form. Application Requirements

Applicants must submit:

1. Application form (via Studyinfo.fi during the application period).

2. Obligatory documents:

   • Bachelor’s degree certificate (or proof of graduation by 31 July 2026).

   • Official transcript of records.

   • Proof of language proficiency (English/Finnish/Swedish).

   • Copy of passport/ID.

3. Study-option-specific documents (e.g., portfolio, statement of purpose, CV, test scores like GMAT/GRE if required).

4. Application fee payment confirmation (non-EU/EEA applicants).

All documents must be uploaded in PDF format by 9 January 2026 (3 pm UTC+2). Incomplete applications will be rejected.

Selection Criteria

Applications are evaluated in two stages:

1. General eligibility check – ensuring required degree, documents, and language proof.

2. Study option evaluation – based on program-specific criteria such as academic performance, portfolio (for Art & Design), motivation, and test scores (if applicable).
