Overview
The Aziz Foundation Scholarship 2026 offers full tuition fee Master’s scholarships to up to five exceptional British Muslims at the University of Sussex for the 2026/27 academic year. The scholarship is designed for individuals who lack the financial means to pursue postgraduate study and are committed to creating positive social impact within British Muslim communities and wider society.
Eligibility
You must:

Be eligible for Home fee status

Be British Muslim and Zakat-eligible / in financial need

Be actively involved in a Muslim community with strong understanding of issues affecting British Muslims

Be applying for a Master’s degree at the University of Sussex in one of the following fields:

Media & Journalism

Sports
-
Arts & Culture
-
Sustainability & Environment
-
Technology
-
Policy or Law
-

Demonstrate:

Clear understanding of your chosen industry

Relevant experience or achievements
-
How the course will enable social impact
-
Long-term commitment to community or societal development in Britain

Ability to contribute to:

Effective advocacy & improved public perception of British Muslims OR

Community service & social development

Who Is Not Eligible
-
Applicants to universities other than the University of Sussex

Online programmes

Integrated Master’s final year students

Students already holding another Sussex scholarship

Applicants to excluded courses (including MBA, MPhil, PGCE, Development Studies programmes, BSMS courses, ESRC-funded Master’s, and others)
