To qualify for the scholarship, applicants must:

• Hold (or be predicted) at least a 2:1 honours degree or equivalent

  • A 2:2 or a degree in another subject may be considered with significant language proficiency

• Alternatively, hold a relevant PhD or Master’s degree

• Be training to teach French, German, or Spanish

• Have secured a place on a non-salaried, eligible Initial Teacher Training (ITT) course in England that leads to Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

• Be committed to beginning training in the 2025/26 academic year (by September 2025)
