Canadian International Development Scholarships 2030 Overview

The Canadian International Development Scholarships 2030 (BCDI 2030) program is an eight-year initiative (2022-2030) funded by Global Affairs Canada. It aims to provide quality education and training opportunities in Canada, including vocational and technical training, to students from 26 eligible countries. The program supports the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by fostering social and economic development while reducing inequalities.

Canadian International Development Scholarships 2030 Eligibility

• Individuals cannot apply directly.
• Eligibility is based on a project partnership between a Canadian Higher Education Institution (HEI) and an HEI from one of the 26 eligible countries.
• Canadian HEIs and their partners will launch calls for applications and select recipients based on established selection criteria.

Canadian International Development Scholarships 2030 Benefits

• Approximately 600 scholarships for study and training in Canada.
• At least 51% of scholars will be women.
• Scholars will gain skills, knowledge, and experience to enhance their career prospects.
• Upon return, scholars will contribute to the social and economic development of their home countries.
