  • Must be self-funded (no other scholarships or sponsorships)

  • Must not already hold an equivalent or higher qualification

  • Must not have previously studied outside your country of residence

  • Full-time study only

  • Must start studies in September 2026 (no deferral)

Eligible Countries

Includes (but not limited to): Nigeria, Ghana, Kenya, Pakistan, India, Bangladesh, Egypt, Vietnam, Rwanda, Uganda, Tanzania, Zambia, Zimbabwe, and many other low/lower-middle income countries (World Bank classification 2025).

Application Deadline

  • Course offer deadline: 8 May 2026

  • Shortlist notification: 15 May 2026

  • Scholarship application deadline: 1 June 2026 (1pm UK time)

  • Final decisions released: 5 July 2026

How to Apply

  • Apply for an eligible Master’s course at the University of Sheffield

  • Only shortlisted candidates will be invited to submit a scholarship application

  • Complete and submit the scholarship form by the stated deadline

Selection Criteria

  • Strong academic background

  • Clear motivation for the chosen course

  • Relevant work or experience in international development–related fields

  • Well-defined future goals showing social impact

  • Priority may be given to underrepresented groups
