Politecnico di Torino, one of Italy’s leading technical universities, is now accepting applications for its 41st PhD cycle. This opportunity offers fully funded doctoral positions across various disciplines, giving scholars from around the world a chance to pursue advanced research in an international and innovative environment.

Application Sessions
There are two sessions available for applications:

• First Session: Opens 19 February 2025, closes 30 April 2025 (2 PM CET), and starts 1 November 2025.

• Second Session: Opens 15 October 2025, closes 14 November 2025 (2 PM CET), and starts 1 March 2026.

Eligibility

Applicants must hold a Master’s degree (or equivalent) and meet the admission requirements for the chosen PhD program. International students are strongly encouraged to apply.

Available Positions & Scholarships

The university offers a minimum of 96 fully funded PhD scholarships, divided into:

• Ordinary positions:

  • Fully funded PhDs with independent or predefined research topics

  • Apprenticeship-based PhD positions

  • Positions without scholarships

• Reserved positions:

  • For recipients of government or public institution scholarships

  • For research fellows

  • For candidates in the PoliTo for Refugees Project
