Overview
The GREAT Scholarships Programme, launched by the British Council in partnership with 60 leading UK universities, provides talented students with the opportunity to pursue one-year postgraduate studies in the UK. The scholarship is worth £10,000 and aims to support academically excellent students who are eager to experience world-class education and contribute to the global community.

Scholars will represent their universities and the GREAT brand as ambassadors — both during their studies and after graduation — by sharing their experiences with future students.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must:

• Be a citizen of India or Pakistan

• Hold an offer of admission to a UK university (all conditions met except deposit payment)

• Possess an undergraduate degree qualifying them for postgraduate study

• Demonstrate academic excellence and motivation for postgraduate study in the UK

• Show work experience or a strong interest in their chosen field

• Meet the English language requirements of the UK institution

• Be active, engaged, and willing to serve as an ambassador for UK higher education

• Be ready to attend a GREAT Scholars networking event in the UK

• Course Level: Postgraduate (Master’s)

• Study Mode: Full-time, on campus

• Eligible Subjects: All disciplines

Scholarship Value

• Award Amount: £10,000 towards tuition fees

• Duration: One academic year

• Only self-funded students are eligible

• Only one scholarship or award can be held per offer

• Scholarships are granted upon enrolment and at the discretion of the university

How to Apply

1. Apply for admission to a participating UK university.

2. Once you have received your offer, complete the GREAT Scholarship online application form.

3. Prepare your application using Microsoft Word before pasting it into the form for submission.
