International Peace Scholarship (IPS) 2026: Overview
The International Peace Scholarship (IPS) Fund provides financial assistance to international women pursuing graduate studies in the United States or Canada. Founded on the belief that peace can be achieved through education and understanding, the IPS supports women committed to using their education to promote positive change and global peace in their home countries.
International Peace Scholarship (IPS) 2026: Eligibility
To be considered for the International Peace Scholarship 2026, applicants must:

Women from countries outside the U.S. and Canada seeking an advanced degree at an accredited university in the U.S. or Canada.

Plan to return to their home country to apply their education toward fostering peace and development.

Have at least one full academic year of coursework remaining and must reside in the U.S. or Canada for the entire academic year.

Be enrolled in a full-time on-campus program (not online or distance learning).

International students attending Cottey College are also eligible.
Note:

Doctoral candidates who have completed coursework and are only working on their dissertations are not eligible as first-time applicants.

Women who are citizens or permanent residents of the U.S. or Canada are not eligible.

Those with tax residency only in the U.S. or Canada may apply.

Scholarships are not awarded for internships, research, or practical training unless combined with formal coursework.
Benefits

Maximum scholarship amount: USD $12,500

The amount awarded depends on financial need, as demonstrated in the application.

Applicants must show proof of additional funding sources, such as:

Personal or family contributions

Teaching assistantships or work income

Other scholarships or grants

Tuition waivers

Note: The IPS award is designed to supplement, not fully cover, academic and living expenses.
