Communications & Social Media Manager at Yangaplug, Remote (Nigeria)
The Communications & Social Media Manager will lead Yangaplug’s online brand voice across social platforms, manage community engagement, drive content strategy, and support overall marketing communication efforts.
You will work closely with the Growth team to amplify visibility, run engagement campaigns, and build trust with new and existing users.
Key Responsibilities
Content & Social Media Management
- Develop and execute a monthly social media content calendar.
- Create engaging content for TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn.
- Monitor trends and create content that resonates with our digital-savvy audience.
- Manage community interactions, comments, feedback, and escalations.
Brand Communications
- Craft clear brand messages for announcements, campaigns, and user updates.
- Collaborate on PR materials, newsletters, and product update communication.
- Ensure brand consistency across all touchpoints.
Engagement & Growth
- Drive strategies that increase visibility, engagement, and conversions.
- Work with influencers and content creators to maximize reach.
- Analyze social media insights and provide weekly performance reports.
Crisis & Reputation Management
- Handle sensitive communication during downtime or service issues.
- Provide timely, transparent updates to maintain user trust.
Requirements
- Experience in Communications, Social Media Management, or Digital Marketing.
- Strong communication (written & verbal) and storytelling skills.
- Strong understanding of Nigerian social media culture and trends.
- Ability to multitask
- Experience with Canva, CapCut, Meta Business Suite, and TikTok Ads Manager is an added advantage.
