Overview

The REPLAY Erasmus Mundus Joint Master’s Programme is a fully funded international master’s in Game Design & Production, open to students worldwide. The 2026–2028 application cycle opens 15 October 2025 and closes 9 January 2026.
Students gain hands-on training across Europe (Lisbon, Genk, Helsinki) and graduate with advanced skills in game creation, design, and production.

Eligibility

  • Open to students from any country.

  • Applicants with Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Diploma + relevant professional experience in game design/production.

  • Must provide all required documents in English or with certified translations.

  • English proficiency required (see section below).

  • Applicants must meet the minimum academic qualification:

    • EQF level 6 / NFQ level 8 (Bachelor’s degree equivalent).

  • Full tuition fee coverage (15,000 EUR).

  • 1,400 EUR monthly allowance for up to 24 months.

Program Components

  • Semester 1: Lisbon

  • Semester 2: Genk

  • Semester 3: Helsinki

  • Semester 4: Thesis in one of the partner schools

  • Includes practical game projects, mentorship, team production work, and a final graduation ceremony.

Application Requirements

Mandatory Documents

  • ✔️ Online Application Form (no postal submissions)

  • ✔️ Identification Document (passport/EU ID card)

  • ✔️ Recent Photograph

  • ✔️ Bachelor’s or Master’s Diploma + Transcripts

    • Must be legalized for international use (apostille or notarization)

  • ✔️ CV (Europass recommended)

  • ✔️ Motivation Letter (max 3,000 characters)

  • ✔️ Post-Mortem Analyses (max 2 projects, 2,000 characters each)

  • ✔️ Portfolio (PDF, max 7 pages) following the REPLAY structure

    • First 30s: introduce yourself

    • Next 1:30–2:30: showcase projects with subtitles

  • ✔️ English Proficiency Proof (IELTS, TOEFL, Cambridge, etc.)

  • ✔️ Residence Certificate (showing your full address)

Note: All documents MUST be complete; incomplete submissions may be disqualified.

Selection Criteria

Applicants are evaluated based on:

  • Academic performance

  • Motivation letter strength

  • Portfolio, post-mortem, and showreel quality

  • Professional experience in game design or production

  • English language competence

  • Top applicants will be invited for an online interview.

  1. Prepare all documents in English or include certified translations.

  2. Follow the official portfolio template strictly.

  3. Submit your application online between:

    • 15 October 2025 – 9 January 2026

  4. Wait for evaluation and possible interview invitation.

  5. If selected, you will receive an admission + scholarship offer.

  • Appeal Deadline: Before 5 April (only for procedural errors)
