We are building a future where real estate is digitized and can be transitioned from one use to another seamlessly on-demand, moving every piece of urban real estate toward its highest and best use.

We are starting with the $131 billion US parking real estate market because it is one of the most offline and mismanaged commercial real estate asset types.

As a full-stack parking operator, we automate the operation of parking lots and parking garages. We handle everything from advertising to collecting payments from drivers and enforcing against illegal parking. We already operate 150+ parking lots and parking garages across 30 US states and we are growing quickly.

We are backed by top tier investors including Andreessen Horowitz, Floodgate, Founders Fund, and angel investors who have founded or worked at companies like Uber, Opendoor, Flexport, and more.

We’re looking for a creative, highly motivated individual to join AirGarage as our first designer.

Before AirGarage, parking was a tedious and frustrating experience. You’d have to hunt down a payment machine, risk getting stuck behind a parking gate, or endlessly worry if you’ve added enough time to your meter. Our challenge is to eliminate these decade old problems and create entirely new experiences using design thinking and the latest engineering technology.

As a startup, we have a variety of ever-changing needs, from creating new product features to designing marketing materials, creating new UX/UI flows, revising landing pages, digital ads, and more. AirGarage apps and parking lots are used by thousands of people everyday and we play an important step in their daily journeys. Our goal is to create a seamless experience through a cohesive design ecosystem, and as our first designer, you will help bring this vision to life.

The ideal candidate thinks deeply – beyond pixels and wireframes – to immerse themselves in truly understanding and empathizing with our users.

— Collaborate with product, operations, and engineering teams to iterate on product designs using the AirGarage design system for our drivers and partners.

— Advocate for our drivers and partners by delivering high quality mockups and storyboards to engineering and product teams.

— Create scalable interaction patterns and components that will enable end-to-end workflows within the AirGarage design ecosystem.

— Partner with engineering and understand technical constraints and how to make tradeoffs on your designs.

— Contribute to our design system, host working sessions, and implement feedback from stakeholders.

— Execute in a fast-paced environment with ambiguity.

— Passion for visual design — you are an artist at your core and love to ideate, create, and share.

— Empathy for users — you can immerse yourself in our users’ experience to understand their pain points and goals, you use design thinking methodology to explore solutions.

— Experience as a designer — you’ve successfully completed design projects from idea to full-scale implementation through unique and intuitive UX/UI, landing pages, and/or marketing material.

— A portfolio displaying a range of thoughtful, impactful work.

— Extreme attention to detail and nuance — the small things matter to you, and you never feel “done” in the process of learning and perfecting your work.
