DevOps Engineer at OctoHorizon, Remote (Global)
We are seeking a talented DevOps Engineer to design, build, and maintain scalable, high-performance infrastructure to support our global trading operations. You will play a critical role in automating deployments, monitoring mission-critical systems, and ensuring the resilience, speed, and security of our infrastructure.
This role involves close collaboration with researchers, developers, and infrastructure specialists to streamline workflows, reduce latency, and support a high-uptime, low-latency production environment.
This is a fully remote position, open to candidates globally. We value outcomes over hours and location.
Required Skills & Experience
- 3+ years of professional experience in a DevOps, SRE, or systems engineering role.
- Strong proficiency with Linux systems administration and networking fundamentals.
- Proven experience with cloud providers (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure) and hybrid environments.
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., GitLab CI, Jenkins, ArgoCD).
- Solid knowledge of containerization (e.g., Docker) and orchestration (e.g., Kubernetes).
- Experience with IaC tools like Terraform, Ansible, or equivalent.
- Strong scripting/programming skills (Python, Bash, or similar).
- Ability to work autonomously in a remote, fast-paced, and globally distributed team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in high-performance, low-latency environments.
- Exposure to infrastructure for high-frequency trading or real-time data pipelines.
- Familiarity with observability stacks (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK).
- Knowledge of security best practices for DevOps (e.g., secret management, RBAC).
- Experience with versioned infrastructure, GitOps workflows, or automated testing pipelines.
- Comfort with time-series databases and real-time monitoring tools.
