About us:
We are a venture backed, Silicon Valley and Lagos-based startup digitizing small businesses across Africa. Our co-founders are Stanford and MIT alums and are revolutionizing the digitization of small businesses across Africa.
There are over 450 million small businesses across Africa. Even though small businesses make up the bulk of the continent’s economy, they are extremely underserved, with pain points ranging from inability to effectively make payments and manual and inefficient processes to lack of access to capital.
Since launching in September 2021, we have built a platform to help over 140k small businesses manage their bookkeeping, generate invoices and provide receipts. The next step along our journey is to provide financial services to these businesses.
Our team believes in product led growth and is dedicated to providing the best platform for small businesses across Africa to successfully grow and in turn jumpstart economies on the continent.

We need someone who’s a total creative genius and a strategic thinker with a real passion for creating and running campaigns that make our brand stand out and grow our business too.

Your impact:
As the Digital Communications Manager, you’ll be in charge of shaping the overall creative direction and positioning of the company in the market. Your job is super important in driving business growth, increasing brand recognition, and helping the company stand out in a highly competitive industry.
You’re going to be responsible for developing and executing successful campaigns across multiple channels, including digital, social, print, and video. You’ll be working closely with the marketing and product teams to make sure that the creative solutions align with the business objectives and target audiences.
To be the best at this role, you should keep yourself up-to-date with the latest digital technologies and social media trends. In addition, you should be an excellent communicator and be able to express the company’s views in a creative way.
In the end, you’re responsible for managing our social media presence and making sure that we have high levels of web traffic and customer engagement.

Role Deliverables:
Be the Captain of our Social Media Ship: Manage and maintain our social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, you name it!) with a flair for creativity and an uncanny ability to connect with our audience. Whip up witty captions, eye-catching visuals, and engaging content that will leave our followers craving for more.
Content Wizardry: Develop and execute a content strategy that will make our website and digital channels shine brighter than a shooting star. Craft compelling blog posts, articles, newsletters, and website copy that will captivate our readers and keep them coming back for more. You’re the master of turning mundane topics into fascinating tales!
Graphic Design Guru: Create visually stunning graphics, infographics, and illustrations that will elevate our digital content to new heights. Put your design skills to work in producing engaging visuals that bring our brand to life and make our content stand out from the crowd.
Videography Maestro: Plan, shoot, and edit captivating videos that tell stories, showcase our products/services, and entertain our audience. Whether it’s a short promotional video, a tutorial, or a behind-the-scenes glimpse, you know how to wield a camera and editing software like a pro.
Digital Storyteller: Bring our brand to life through storytelling that resonates with our target audience. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather stories, testimonials, and case studies that showcase the impact of our products/services. Use your magic to weave these narratives into compelling digital content that will tug at the heartstrings of our customers.
Analytics Guru: Dive deep into the sea of data to measure the success of our digital campaigns and initiatives. Use your analytical skills to track and analyze key performance metrics, identify trends, and generate reports that will help guide our future strategies. The numbers don’t lie, and you’ll be the one to unravel their secrets.
Trend Spotter: Stay ahead of the digital curve and keep an eagle eye on emerging trends, technologies, and platforms. Be our in-house expert on all things digital and make recommendations for innovative approaches to enhance our online presence. You’re the go-to person for the latest social media hacks and trends!
What we are looking for:
Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, advertising, marketing, or a related field. 3+ years of experience in a creative leadership role, preferably within a fintech company or other technology-driven industry.
Proven experience in managing social media platforms, content creation, and digital marketing.
Exceptional writing and editing skills, with the ability to adapt your tone and style to different audiences.
Proficiency in graphic design tools (Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, etc.) to create stunning visuals.
Proficiency in videography and video editing software (Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, etc.) to produce high-quality videos.
A genuine love for all things digital, with a keen eye for visual aesthetics and an innate sense of what makes content shareable.
Proficiency in using social media management tools, content management systems, and analytics platforms.
Excellent communication skills with a friendly and approachable demeanor.
A great sense of humor and the ability to inject fun and creativity into your work.
