Employee Relations Senior Specialist

About the role
Our Employee Relations Senior Specialist is there to provide a seamless ER service inclusive of coaching and upskilling of our ER Advisory Team, engaging line managers of all levels, working with our Employee Voice Forum, and in high-profile and high-risk cases, working and engaging key stakeholders. They proactively work to deliver a colleague-centric and commercially focused service, acting as a subject matter expert on all things ER (including change) and as the point of escalation and leadership for our complex cases.
About you
In order to be able to perform this role you will have;
- Excellent customer service skills and a customer yet commercially focused mindset
- Extensive experience of managing full range of employee relations cases, including complex cases and Employment Tribunals
- Experience of coaching others, including, advisers and line managers/leadership teams
- Excellent presentation skills and ability to deliver training to managers on policies and procedures
- Extensive and up-to-date knowledge of UK employment legislation and case law and apply pragmatically with a solutions-focused mindset
- Able to review and advise on risk, considering the commercial context as well as HR best practice.
- Experience in delivering ER and Change training to a wide audience and ability to tailor content to suit experience level.
- Ability to collaborate and to work proactively to improve a service
- Ability to manage a large caseload with multiple deadline with an exceptional attention to detail
