Field Supervisor
The Field Supervisor will coordinate the operations of Field Agents under the aggregation model, out-grower model, and service provision activities ensuring that Field Agents can meet the company’s operational targets. The Supervisor will undertake various planning, supervision, and organizational task making sure that the Field Agents can operate with ease, complying with the health, safety, and security protocols laid down by the company.
Responsibilities
- The responsibilities and duties of the Field Supervisor include but are not limited to the following:
- Liaison with the Field Agent to ensure that community entry, identification, and enrolment of farmers become a success.
- Ensure that Field Agents meet monthly purchase targets.
- Liaison with the finance team to ensure that farmers receive a good price for their produces, and are paid on time.
- Ensure that quantities of products bought, and quantities transported to the warehouse are the same.
- Undertake monthly reconciliation with the Filed Supervisor.
- Undertake monitoring and evaluation procedures to ensure that Field Agents undertake weekly farm visits.
- Report monthly operational accomplishments and challenges to the Grower Coordinator.
- Liaison with the Grower Coordinator to ensure that the operational challenges of the Field Agents are solved on time.
- Ensure proper record keeping of the administrative expenses, direct costs, and Miscellaneous expenses involved in the operations of the Field agents.
- Ensure that products purchased from farmers are transported to the warehouse.
- Ensure that Field Agent takes proper care and maintenance of their working tools.
Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Administration, Marketing, or any other relevant field for the position.
- Must have two years of experience in office administration, operation management, procurement, communication, and marketing.
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office especially Excel, Word, MS Teams, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to work under pressure and possess a strong team orientation.
- Attention to detail.
- Must have a Motorbike incense or be willing to get one.
- Must be physically fit and able to lift a 25 Kg bag.
