Job description

Lionbridge’s Language Quality Services (LQS) provide linguistic quality reviews and quality assurance evaluations into translated and localized content to ensure products and services resonate in each locale.

LQS check the linguistic quality of translations and do not provide translations.

We are currently expanding our pool of freelance linguists to review content from:

Portuguese into Occitan

Catalan into Occitan

French into Occitan

English into Esperanto

Urdu(Pakistan) into Sindhi

English into Thai

English into Swedish

Chinese (Simplified) into English

The main area of expertise are: Marketing & Advertising.

Responsibilities

Be a part of a multilingual & dynamic team…

• Deliver high quality reviews in a fast-paced environment
• Research thoroughly on the subject
• Quality assurance of translation works – no typos, no basic errors
• Smooth language flow with accurate meaning and high readability
• Prompt communication with PM team
• Post hoc linguist and quality analysis with Language and Quality teams

Your profile

What you bring…

• Native speaker of the language
• Professional translation/review/editing/quality assessment skills
• Strong linguistic background, experience with Style Guides, Glossaries, Terminology Management is a plus
• Passionate for detail and excellence

Preferred Qualifications:

• Preferred background: Languages, Translation or related field
• Passionate and knowledgeable about your area of expertise
• Awareness of the local market needs
• Able to be flexible and comfortable in various technical environments
• Time and attention investment is critical to success
• Committed to building a career in localization
• Genuinely curious and excited to learn in depth about product knowledge
