As Bark.com’s Group Financial Controller, you will be at the heart of our financial operations, playing a pivotal role in driving our success. Reporting directly to the Group CFO, you will take charge of managing our finances, ensuring adherence to local and international financial regulations that keep us on the right track.Your expertise will be paramount as you oversee critical aspects such as financial reporting, statutory reporting, external audits, and maintaining strong banking relationships. With your strategic guidance, we’ll navigate the complex landscape of accounts payable and receivable, as well as internal controls, safeguarding our financial stability and propelling our growth.Collaboration will be key, as you work closely with our senior management team to shape and implement financial controls and strategies that align with our business objectives. As a dynamic leader, you’ll have the opportunity to nurture and develop our talented financial control team, empowering them to reach new heights. Desired Skills and Experience
- A recognised accounting qualification, such as ACA, ACCA, or CIMA
- Extensive experience in finance and accounting roles, with a proven track record as a Financial Controller or deputy Financial Controller for an international business
- Experience working for a fast-paced private equity backed marketplace or technology company is advantageous
- Be able to demonstrate exceptional technical accounting knowledge
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work with a range of stakeholders across the organisation
- An inquisitive mind with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Able to prioritise effectively within a fast-paced environment and be prepared to roll your sleeves up
- Ability to manage and develop a high performing team of finance professionals
