About the Role
We are looking for a Procurement Associate who is analytical, team-oriented, well-organized, self-motivated, and experienced in pharmaceutical procurement. You will play a crucial role in assisting to optimizing the procurement process at Lifestores to ensure the timely and cost-effective acquisition of products. Your primary responsibility will be to support the procurement team in sourcing, negotiating and coordinating the procurement activities while adhering to industry regulations and quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Prioritizing, sourcing, negotiating SLAs with engaging and onboarding new suppliers
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand the procurement needs and requirements of customers
- Maintaining strong relations with existing suppliers
- Conducting demand/ reorder planning, negotiating for improved Items
- Assisting in sourcing, evaluating and selection of suppliers/vendors based on quality, cost, delivery
- Following up on orders sent to suppliers to ensure on-time delivery
- Ensuring full availability of products, securing promotional discounts from suppliers
- Conducting price reviews
- Updating the OGA Pharmacy formulary list and ensuring new products are updates on Pharm IQ
- Collecting and analyzing procurement data, identifying trends, patterns, and areas for improvement
- Securing special orders and tracking supplier performance and using the data to improve performance
- You will work collaboratively with other team members to ensure that deliverables are actualized
- You will also support with other supply chain initiatives

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Sciences, Pharmacology, business administration or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years proven experience in procurement or supply chain management within the pharmaceutical industry is preferred
- Sound knowledge of procurement principles, practices, and regulatory requirements specific to the pharmaceutical industry
- Excellent negotiation and vendor management skills
- Excellent communicator, both written and verbally with strong attention to details
- Strong analytical analytical skills
- Strong organizational and project management skills
