Product Manager
Get Tailored is a tech-enabled platform for seamless fashion experiences. We are the first of it’s kind marketplace that connects you with reliable local tailors in Africa, and allows you to order custom-fitted personalized, traditional outfits from the comfort of your home, anywhere in the world. Through the use of technology, our goal is to enable the most seamless fashion experiences, while fostering collaboration and promotion of African designs and designers to the world.
Job description
· Develop product strategy based on the prevalent state of eCommerce and marketplace businesses in Nigeria and global best practices.
· Create product roadmaps outlining key product goals and objectives with timelines.
· Conduct market research and create user stories for product evolution and service optimization.
· Collaborate and work with engineering developers, UX & UI developers, marketing teams, and external partners.
· Lead product growth and expansion, methodically by data-based decision processes.
o Talk to users and partners every day.
o Develop wireframes and user stories together with UX/UI team.
o Manage sprint-based bi-weekly product release cycles.
o A/B testing, user feedback analysis.
o Perform rigorous data analysis for rapid iteration.
o Track results with KPIs and measure product success and failures, objectively.
Desired Skills and competencies
Industry and technology
· Fluency with eCommerce business models & technology landscape. Familiarity with best practices in Nigerian and global markets.
· Experienced working in technology environments including API integrations, task automation, digital collaboration tools.
· Knowledge and experience of various technologies and not limited to: cloud infrastructure providers like AWS. Languages, frameworks and databases: Java, MySQL, Groovy, Grails, Angular, Fuse, HTML5, CSS, Ionic, Cordova, Bootstrap.
Softskills
· Strong communication skills working in multi-cultural, multi-national, globally spread teams
· Comfortable and preference to work with ambiguity and chart your own path. Problem solver, doer, and action-oriented.
· Desire to learn in a fast-paced growth environment despite pressure and stress.
· Leadership skills and aspiration to grow from an early stage start-up product manager into Chief Product Officer (CPO) role.
