Senior Manager, Product Marketing

In this role you will….

  • Be the point-person for market intelligence, as the expert on our decision makers and influencers: who they are, why and how they buy and their key decision criteria
  • Develop product positioning and messaging that resonate with our target buyer personas
  • Develop content and collateral to support our sales team based on an understanding of the buyers’ journey (pitch deck, explainer videos, sales playbooks, case studies, objection handling talking points, product demo scripts, ROI calculators, product FAQs)
  • In collaboration with sales enablement, train sales on the problems we solve for our buyers and users; develop internal tools and external collateral and teach them how and when to use it
  • Determine and write key thought leadership content to demonstrate value proposition and execute messaging across platforms (web, collateral, etc.)
  • Contribute to the go-to-market strategy by determining ideal target market, identifying key personas, defining the ideal buyer profiles, and creating the plan
  • Develop and execute new product launches with cross-functional teams
  • Understand the competitive landscape, in collaboration with Product Management and Sales; develop comparison content as needed
  • Work with Demand Gen team to inform and advise on marketing campaigns to grow our SaaS business, focused on the acquisition of new customers
  • Interrogate the net new revenue trends and work collaboratively with Sales and Product to ensure bookings and pipeline attainment
  • Influence and inform the product roadmap on behalf of marketing and commercial opportunities
  • Supervise product marketing specialist


  • Experience successfully positioning a product in market
  • Understanding of SaaS, higher education, and EdTech is a plus
  • Experience simplifying complexity and experience communicating with technical, business, and external stakeholders
  • Advanced writing skills
  • Track record of influencing behavior at a variety of levels in the organization, including cross-functional managers and teams to drive results
  • Experience setting priorities, problem solving, multi-tasking, and working independently
  • Communication and presentation skills, and experience distilling complex information for unfamiliar audiences
  • Flexible team player who thrives in a fast-paced, often ambiguous, environment
  • Detail oriented with strong project management skills and able to ask the questions nobody else has asked
