Job Title: Sourcing Manager
True Classic is seeking a Sourcing Manager to manage vendor onboarding and qualification processes, track sourcing performance metrics, and work cross-functionally to allocate purchase volume. Reporting to the Head of Operations, this role plays a key part in ensuring sourcing strategies align with operational excellence, cost efficiency, and product quality standards.
All True Classic roles are global and omni-channel, driving accountability across product categories, regions, and sales/marketing channels. This role will allow you to impact operations company-wide, ensuring alignment with our business objectives and supporting executive efficiency at the highest level
Areas of Accountability
Vendor Qualification & Management
- Oversee the end-to-end vendor application process, including reviewing applications and coordinating internal reviews.
- Implement and refine a qualification process to ensure all approved vendors meet our standards for quality, compliance, capacity, and sustainability.
- Maintain a detailed and up-to-date vendor database, capturing application status, qualification notes, and performance metrics.
- Manage the pre-production process of reviewing vendor samples, negotiating unit costs, MOQs and production lead time.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner closely with the Planning, Product, Production, and Logistics teams to allocate purchasing volume across the vendor base in a way that minimizes costs, improves lead times, and supports consistent product quality.
- Ensure all sourcing decisions align with product launch timelines, inventory strategies, and growth goals.
Sourcing Operations & Process Management
- Own and update the vendor application form and onboarding process to ensure a seamless and professional experience for potential vendors.
- Serve as the point of contact for vendor inquiries during the application and onboarding phases.
Performance Metrics & Reporting
- Track and report on key sourcing KPIs, including:
- Vendor count per style or product category
- Average unit cost across product lines
- Vendor approval timelines
- Regional vendor mix
- Analyze sourcing performance to identify improvement opportunities and support strategic decision-making.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Merchandising, or a related field.
- 4+ years of experience in sourcing, procurement, or supply chain within the apparel or consumer goods industry.
- Proactive sourcing mindset.
- Experience managing vendor applications and qualification processes.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing workflows and sourcing best practices.
- Analytical mindset with proficiency in Excel or supply chain reporting tools.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented, with excellent project management and communication skills.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment and wearing multiple hats.
