Role Overview

We are seeking a seasoned, self-motivated, and detail-oriented Technical Service Manager to join our team. This role is crucial in providing technical leadership, managing our skilled technicians and office staff, and ensuring the highest quality of service delivery. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commercial food equipment repair and the ability to lead and motivate a team while driving operational excellence.

Job Description
Responsibilities:
  1. Provide remote guidance and support to field technicians, with a focus on mentoring junior techs
  2. Analyze electrical schematics and service manuals for various commercial food equipment
  3. Lead troubleshooting efforts for complex equipment issues
  4. Monitor office staff and techniciansā€™ progress, ensuring efficient utilization of resources
  5. Identify and implement process improvement projects to streamline operations
  6. Address customer escalations and resolve conflicts effectively
  7. Spearhead various projects, such as inventory management, productivity reports, and office improvements
  8. Develop and maintain comprehensive technical documentation and repair guides
  9. Stay updated on commercial food equipment technology trends
  10. Contribute to and enhance training programs for technicians
  11. Collaborate with dispatch and management to optimize service delivery

Requirements

  • Extensive background in electrical and electronics,Ā 
  • Proven experience interpreting complex schematics and service manuals
  • Strong leadership and motivational skills
  • Excellent customer service and communication abilities
  • Sound electronics and mechanical foundation
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, plan, and organize effectively
  • Quick learner capable of rapidly acquiring commercial food service equipment knowledge
  • Experience in a technical leadership or mentoring role
  • Adaptability to handle a wide range of equipment types and brands
  • Commitment to ongoing learning and professional development in the field
