Our client, a distinct player in the financial services space seeks to engage the services of a Backend Developer

Key Responsibilities

● Building and maintaining mobile and web applications
● Assessing the efficiency and speed of current applications
● Managing hosting environment
● Troubleshooting and debugging
● Coordinating technology project delivery with external parties
● Managing key databases

Strategic Priorities

● Contributing to the technology framework of the company
● Contributing and developing data security policies
● Keeping on top of new technologies

Requirements

● B.Sc Computer Science
● Minimum of 3 years post NYSC experience
● Preferable experience in a commercial bank or finance service provider
● Experience managing several stakeholders

Key Skills

● Fluent in scripting languages like Ruby, PHP, .Net, C# or Java
● Experience in Ruby, Laravel, Django or Express frameworks
● Experience with SQL, MySLQ and Oracle database systems
● Version control, such as Git, CVS or SVN
● Knowledge of SOAP and REST web services
● Good communication skills – both written and oral
● Highly developed problem-solving skills
