Who Can Apply?

The scholarship is open to applicants who:

• Are new admissions to a full-time master’s programme starting in 2026/27 at SOAS.
• Hold or expect to receive a first-class honours degree from a UK university or international equivalent. Top-ranking students with a 2:1 may also apply but will be at a lower preference.
• Demonstrate a strong commitment to sustainability and global development through their academic or professional work.
• Are Home or Overseas fee-status applicants.
• Can secure an unconditional offer by the time the scholarship panel meets.

Eligible programmes include any full-time, 1-year master’s course linked to sustainable development goals.

1. Apply for a master’s programme at SOAS through the official admissions portal.
2. Apply for the scholarship via the same portal once you have login credentials: Scholarship Application Opens 14 May 2026.
3. Submit your application by 12 noon (UK local time) on 12 June 2026.
4. Provide evidence of academic excellence, alignment with sustainability goals, and leadership potential in your personal statement and other application materials.
5. Ensure all materials are complete before the panel review; late or incomplete applications will not be considered.
