Master Mind Scholarship 2026: Overview
The Master Mind Scholarship is a prestigious award funded by the Flemish Ministry of Education and Training, offering exceptional international students the opportunity to pursue a master’s degree in Flanders or Brussels. It provides a €10,000 annual grant plus a full tuition waiver, making it one of Europe’s most competitive merit-based scholarships.
Only 30 scholarships will be awarded across all Flemish universities, with KU Leuven allowed to nominate 20 candidates.
The 2026–2027 call will be officially launched in January 2026.
Eligibility
To qualify, applicants must:

Apply for an eligible master’s programme in Flanders.

Hold previous degrees from non-Flemish institutions.

Demonstrate excellent academic performance (high GPA).

Meet strict English proficiency requirements:

TOEFL iBT Online: ≥94
-
IELTS: ≥7.0
-
Cambridge CPE: Level C2

Not be enrolled in a Flemish institution (with one specific exception for preparatory programmes).

Not hold an Erasmus Mundus scholarship or any other Flemish government scholarship.
Eligible for all nationalities except Russian citizens.

Registration of scholarship candidacy via the online tool before the deadline.

(If nominated) A one-minute motivational video by 18 March 2026.

(If preselected) Fill out the Flemish government’s online Master Mind application form.
