Overview

The RMIT Foundation Academic Scholarship 2026 is a merit-based scholarship designed to support high-performing international students enrolling in RMIT’s Foundation Studies programme. The scholarship provides financial assistance to help reduce future tuition costs as students transition into university studies.

Scholarship Value

• AU$5,000 (one-off payment)

• Applied toward future tuition fees

• Paid after the first census date into the student’s university account

Number of Awards

• 40 scholarships available for the 2026 academic year

• Awarded on a rolling basis until fully allocated

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must:

• Be an international student holding (or intending to apply for) a valid student visa

• Hold a full or conditional offer letter for RMIT Foundation Studies

• Be commencing in Semester 1 or Semester 2, 2026

• Apply to any stream of the Foundation Studies programme

• Submit an Expression of Interest (EOI)

• Not be a current Foundation Studies student

Application Deadlines

• Semester 1, 2026 intake: 15 January 2026

• Semester 2, 2026 intake: 31 May 2026

How to Apply

1. Choose an eligible Foundation Studies programme at RMIT

2. Submit an application to study at RMIT

3. Submit an Expression of Interest (EOI) for the scholarship

4. Successful applicants will receive an offer letter including scholarship details

Key Terms & Conditions

• Scholarship is tuition-only and non-refundable

• Valid only for the programme and intake stated in the offer letter

• Cannot be deferred to another intake or year

• Applicants with ELICOS packaged offers may be eligible if they start Foundation Studies in 2026

• Cannot be combined with most external or government-funded tuition scholarships

• Selection is based strictly on academic merit

• Only successful applicants will be notified
