Requirements & Eligibility
To be eligible, applicants must:
- Be a citizen of a country other than Australia or New Zealand
- Be a newly offered international student from 10th February 2026
- Be commencing studies from Term 4, Semester 2 2026 or a future intake
- Be a full fee-paying student (non-sponsored)
- Apply to an eligible course at La Trobe University
- Not hold a humanitarian or other permanent visa
- Meet all course academic and English entry requirements
- Study at one of LTU’s Victorian campuses
- Pass the Genuine Student assessment, including financial checks
- Note: The scholarship cannot be deferred to future intakes. If a student visa is not secured in time, the offer may be revoked

How to Apply
There is no separate application required! Here’s how it works:
- Submit your application for an approved La Trobe University course
- You will be automatically considered for the scholarship based on your academic results (WAM or ATAR equivalent)
- If eligible, the scholarship will be included in your Letter of Offer
- Accept the offer by paying the reduced deposit to confirm your scholarship
Failure to meet conditions or pay the acceptance deposit on time may result in withdrawal of the scholarship.
