Overview
Nankai University, one of China’s top research universities, invites international students to apply for its 2026 undergraduate programs through a unique “1+3” model — one foundational academic year at the School of International Education, followed by three years of specialized major study.
Upon completing all requirements, students receive a recognized graduation certificate.
All Chinese-taught programs require HSK Level 6 (score ≥180) before graduation.
Eligibility

Pay a 400 RMB non-refundable application fee and tuition to confirm admission.

Successful applicants receive Admission Notice and JW201/202 Visa Form electronically by July 2026.

Chinese Government Scholarship (Type A):
Apply through the Chinese Embassy/Consulate and Nankai’s online system (Nov 2025 – Feb 2026).
Pre-admission from Nankai is required. -
International Chinese Language Teachers Scholarship:
For International Chinese Language Education majors only. Apply via cis.chinese.cn. -
Tianjin Government Scholarship / Study-at-NKU Scholarship:
Indicate interest in the online form. Covers tuition and other expenses.

Visa Application

Admission and visa documents will be released from July 2026.

Students must apply for an X1 student visa using their Admission Notice and JW201/202 Form, then convert it to a residence permit within 30 days of arrival.

Fraudulent documents will lead to immediate revocation of admission.
