University of Ottawa International English Scholarships 2026: Eligibility

Applicants must:

• Be an international student with a valid study permit.

• Be newly admitted to an eligible English-language undergraduate program (Faculties of Arts, Engineering, Health Sciences, Science, Social Sciences, or Telfer School of Management).

• Be enrolled full-time.

• Not registered in the French immersion stream.

• Meet the academic requirements (see below for specific scholarship criteria).

• Canadian citizens with dual nationality are not eligible, as they qualify for domestic tuition rates.

Benefits

1. International English Admission Scholarship

• Value: $7,500 per term (up to $60,000 over 4 years)

• Type: Automatic award (no separate application needed)

• Frequency: Renewable for up to 12 instalments

• Requirement: Minimum admission average of 80%

2. International English Academic Excellence Scholarship

• Value: $10,000 total ($5,000 per term)

• Number of Awards: 100 per year
