University of Sheffield International Postgraduate Taught Merit Scholarship 2025 Overview

The University of Sheffield is offering 75 International Postgraduate Taught Merit Scholarships for students starting in September 2025. Each scholarship is worth £10,000 towards tuition fees.

The scholarship supports international students commencing a full-time postgraduate taught program at the University of Sheffield in autumn 2025. The award is a tuition fee discount and is highly competitive.

University of Sheffield International Postgraduate Taught Merit Scholarship 2025 Eligibility

• Must hold an offer to study a full-time postgraduate taught course starting September 2025.

• Distance learning courses are not eligible.

• Courses partly taught at another institution (e.g., Crossways, Erasmus Mundus) are not eligible.

• Must be classified as an overseas student for tuition fee purposes and be self-funded (not fully sponsored).

• Clinical courses with higher fees (e.g., DClinDent, MClinDent programs) are excluded.

• For integrated Master’s/PhD programs, the scholarship applies only to the Master’s portion.

• Part-time students are eligible (scholarship split pro rata).

• £10,000 tuition fee reduction for eligible programs.

• Can be combined with departmental or faculty scholarships (if not making you a “sponsored student”).

• If studying a 2-year Master’s, the scholarship extends into the second year, subject to successful first-year completion.
