Procurement Lead

We are searching for an experienced Procurement Lead to work closely with the Head of Procurement, Analysts, Head of Delivery for programmes and project managers.

This role is ideal for someone with 3-5 years of procurement experience who wants to develop their skills and experience. It is a great opportunity to support and influence the direction of the procurement strategy at IOG as we expand to take on more commercial projects for customers.

You will define the strategy, processes, practises, templates and reporting for procurement and managing resource/vendors. You will thrive in an environment where you are the glue that brings a wider IOG team together. You will help set and align the standards for performance managing vendors and develop training processes for IOG colleagues.

This particular role will work on a multiple tasks with internal customers and external vendors. There may also be a need to work in other areas of the business according.

The main focus will be to provide necessary transparency, implementation of procurement standards and monitoring resource allocation per project.

Your mission

  • Document and align IOG procurement standards
  • Support the development of the procurement function including Jira and PowerBI dashboards the main tool of choice
  • Report on vendor/ resource performance across the company through our Enterprise Reporting System
  • Provide management and teams with a consistent and comprehensive view of resource status
  • Work with relevant parties to set standards for training vendor and internal project managers
  • Work with finance department to monitor cost and revenue allocation
  • Lead the PI planning and Flow Office sessions

Requirements

Your expertise

  • Project management tools such as PMP/CIPS/MCIPS desirable
  • Experience of Jira and/or Confluence is desirable
  • Scrum or agile desirable
  • Experience in technology, engineering or business
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and influencing skills
  • Comfortable with figures & in collecting, analysing, and interpreting data
  • Should have strong a collaboration approach
  • Can work independently with minimal supervision
  • 3-5 years of experience working in a variety of procurement teams and on resource procurement projects
  • The ability to support core procurement functions for an organisation; ie, delivery dashboards, high-level plans (milestones), risks and issues, dependencies, change control, decision logging, resource and project progress status
  • Solid understanding of software project delivery and project delivery methodologies.
