Fully Funded Stefan Banach Scholarship Programme 2025 Overview

The Stefan Banach Scholarship Programme is a fully funded initiative by the Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange (NAWA), aimed at supporting the socio-economic development of developing countries. This program offers scholarships for second-degree (Master’s) studies in Poland, conducted either in Polish or English. It targets candidates interested in fields like engineering and technical sciences, agricultural sciences, life sciences, and exact sciences, and is administered under Polish development aid.

As of this year, the Banach and Lukasiewicz scholarships have been merged into a single program to streamline support for international students from eligible countries.

Fully Funded Stefan Banach Scholarship Programme 2025 Eligibility

Applicants must:

• Be citizen of one of the eligible developing countries listed below.

• Hold a bachelor’s degree or equivalent that qualifies them for second-cycle (Master’s) studies.

• Choose a program in engineering, agricultural, exact, or life sciences.

• Citizens of selected Eastern European and Central Asian countries may also apply for humanities and social science programs (except philology in their native language).

• Asia & Middle East: Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, India, Indonesia, Iran, Iraq, Jordan, Kazakhstan, Lebanon, Palestine, Philippines, Uzbekistan, Vietnam

• Eastern Europe & Balkans: Albania, Belarus, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo, Moldova, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Serbia, Ukraine

• Latin America: Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, Mexico, Peru

Restrictions

• Philological programs in the applicant’s native language are not supported.

• Humanities and social science fields are limited to candidates from specific countries.
