GREAT Scholarships 2025 at the University of Edinburgh Overview

In partnership with the British Council and the GREAT Britain Campaign, the University of Edinburgh is offering five GREAT Scholarships to postgraduate students from Thailand, India, Spain, Mexico, and Nigeria for the 2025–2026 academic year. The scholarship supports students undertaking one-year, full-time, on-campus master’s programmes in selected fields.

GREAT Scholarships 2025 at the University of Edinburgh Eligibility

To be eligible, applicants must:

• Be a national and resident of Thailand, India, Spain, Mexico, or Nigeria

• Hold or expect to obtain the equivalent of a UK first-class honours degree

• Have applied for and received an offer for an eligible master’s programme at the University of Edinburgh

• Be enrolling full-time for the 2025–2026 academic year

  • GeoSciences, Mathematics, Physics & Astronomy

  • Engineering, Law, Education & Sport, and Health in Social Science

  • Specialised MSc and LLM programs depending on the country of origin

Application Process

1. Apply for admission to an eligible master’s programme at the University of Edinburgh

2. Once you receive your offer, log in to MyEd portal using your University credentials

3. Access and complete the GREAT Scholarship online application form via EUCLID
