BAE Systems is hiring a Remote Sr. Strategic Purchasing Analyst to support our Ship Repair business. The Strategic Purchasing Analyst is responsible for managing Ship Repair Supply Chain strategic sourcing, supplier relations, and functional process improvement efforts. The Strategic Purchasing Analyst will support the Strategic Purchasing Manager in execution of the strategic vision for the Supply Chain organization, manage Supplier Relationship Management program, provide strategic project management for initiatives, execute strategic sourcing plans, and accomplish Ship Repair level procurements and specific communications.

Responsibilities:

Execute strategic sourcing activities; create strategy for agreement; issue Requests for Proposals (RFP); negotiate terms, conditions, and pricing; justify contract agreement for Supply Chain use; and ensure strategic objectives meet spend, quality, and availability requirements.
Maintain all Ship Repair Supply Chain strategic agreements from initiation throughout the life-cycle of agreement, provide metrics that track and report statuses of deliverables set per sourcing plan.
Maintain Supplier Relationship Management practices, Partner2Win program, execute and deliver Supplier surveys, monitor performance by analyzing the criticality of the project and spend, and provide metrics that track and report status of deliverables for Supplier Performance.
Maintain metrics and monitor performance to established Project improvement goals and initiatives for review and reporting of status.
Accomplish strategies for indirect buying opportunities that align with Ship Repair’s internal functional team goals (Indirect, Consultants, etc.).
Manage, maintain, and report on strategic goals including presentations and communications for Supply Chain’s required reporting metrics and tracking statuses.
Interface with Shipyard, Ship Repair, and Sector teams for collaboration on project teams and flow of communications throughout.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills

Bachelor’s Degree and 4 years work experience or equivalent experience
Experience in Supply Chain, Purchasing, or Sourcing
Experience in Data Analysis and Reporting
Experience in Microsoft Office
Ability to effectively manage and monitor Supply Chain and Supplier performance data, metrics, and KPIs
Ability to be agile and support shifting priorities within a dynamic environment
Strong verbal and written communication, collaboration, and organizational skills

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills

Contracts or Supply Chain Industry Certification
Experience in Strategic Supply Chain Planning and Performance Management
Experience in Defense (DoD) Contracting
Experience in Ship Repair or Maritime industry

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $69500 – $118200

Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
