About the job

The Business Development Officer is expected to contribute to the sale of all the Company’s investment products, particularly Mutual Funds, to both individual and corporate investors. He/She will also be charged with the responsibility of generating new business ideas and devising strategies for attracting and maintaining new and existing clients.

Responsibilities

Initiating new business by:

Marketing and Sales of investment products to prospective investors.

• Meeting with prospective clients and selling company’s investment products, to ensure that

targets are met.

• Establishing a network of referrals
• Ensuring that Company policy and guidelines are strictly adhered to.
• Providing feedback to assist in strategic decision making.
• Ensuring implementation of marketing strategies within States and Regions

• Sending proposals to prospective clients.
• Following up with clients to establish date/time for meetings/presentation.
• Meeting with prospective clients and selling company’s investment products, to ensure that

targets are met.

• Establishing a network of referrals
• Ensuring that Company policy and guidelines are strictly adhered to.
• Providing feedback to assist in strategic decision making.
• Ensuring implementation of marketing strategies within States and Regions
• Establish network within government parastatals
• Aggressive HNI and Retail sign-on/leads
• Aggressive set up of financial planning sessions within institutions

Qualifications

• University Degree
• 2-4 years’ experience in selling investment products, particularly Mutual Funds, with evidence.

• Strong interpersonal and communications skills
• Excellent use of MS Office Applications, and other Technology based tools
• Knowledge of the terrain
