Web Developer at Ardent, Remote (United States)
Ardent is seeking a Web Developer to support the development and maintenance of modern web applications for federal government programs. This role focuses on front-end development using modern JavaScript frameworks while integrating with enterprise back-end systems, including ITSM and geospatial platforms. The developer will build responsive, accessible, and high-performing user interfaces while ensuring compliance with federal accessibility standards and supporting secure, mission-critical environments.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Develop and maintain front-end web applications using modern JavaScript frameworks (React, Vue.js, or Angular).
- Build responsive, user-friendly interfaces using HTML5, CSS3, and modern JavaScript (ES6+).
- Integrate front-end applications with REST APIs, including ITSM and geospatial services.
- Work with ArcGIS API for JavaScript and other geospatial web technologies as needed.
- Apply UI/UX design principles to enhance usability and user experience.
- Ensure compliance with Section 508 and web accessibility standards.
- Utilize tools such as npm/yarn, Webpack/Vite, and Git for development and version control.
- Collaborate with back-end developers and stakeholders to support system integration.
- Support testing, debugging, and performance optimization of web applications.
- Participate in Agile development processes and contribute to team deliverables.
Requirements:Â
- Active TS/SCI required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 4+ years of front-end development experience.
- Strong proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, and modern JavaScript (ES6+).
- Experience with React, Vue.js, or Angular.
- Experience integrating REST APIs.
- Experience with development tools such as npm/yarn, Webpack/Vite, and Git.
- Understanding of UI/UX design principles.
- Knowledge of Section 508 and web accessibility standards.
- Experience integrating with enterprise back-end systems.
Preferred Qualifications:Â
- Experience with ArcGIS API for JavaScript.
- Experience with D3.js or other data visualization libraries.
- DHS Trusted Tester certification.
