Next Generation Investigative Journalism (NGIJ) Fellowship 2025 Overview
The Media Foundation for West Africa (MFWA), with support from Oxfam in Ghana, is inviting applications for the 6th edition of the Next Generation Investigative Journalism (NGIJ) Fellowship. This three-month, fully funded residential fellowship aims to equip 20 selected Ghanaian journalists with the skills to investigate Illicit Financial Flows (IFFs), tax justice, and domestic revenue mobilisation.
Next Generation Investigative Journalism (NGIJ) Fellowship 2025 Eligibility
Applicants must:

Be Ghanaian journalists
-
Be mid-career with at least 4 years’ experience, or
-
Be early-career journalists with a strong passion for investigative financial journalism

Be willing to fully participate in the residential program

Women and journalists outside the Greater Accra Region are strongly encouraged to apply

Hands-on mentorship and training with MFWA’s Fact-Check Ghana and The Fourth Estate

Editorial and financial support to produce at least two major reports
