NNPC/OERNL JV Tertiary Scholarship Scheme 2025/2026 Overview

The NNPC/OERNL Joint Venture invites applications for its 2025/2026 Tertiary Scholarship Scheme, aimed at supporting full-time undergraduate students in Nigerian tertiary institutions.

Categories of Award

1. Host/Transit Communities Merit Award – For applicants strictly from OANDO Host/Transit Communities.

2. National Merit Award – For applicants from non-host/transit communities.

NNPC/OERNL JV Tertiary Scholarship Scheme 2025/2026 Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must:

• Be registered as full-time undergraduates in a Nigerian tertiary institution.

• Be 100-level students at the time of application.

Ineligible Applicants:

• 200-level students and above.

• Current beneficiaries of similar scholarships.

• Dependents of OANDO personnel.

Additional Requirements:

• Only indigenes of OANDO Host/Transit Communities in Rivers, Bayelsa, Delta, and Imo States can apply for the Host Communities Merit Award.

• Only students studying Engineering, Geology, Geosciences, and Agricultural Sciences are eligible for the National Merit Award.

NNPC/OERNL JV Tertiary Scholarship Scheme 2025/2026 Required Documents

Applicants must upload scanned copies of the following:

• Passport photograph (450px by 450px, max 200kb, white background, not older than 6 months).

• School ID Card.

• O’level Certificate.

• Admission Letter.

• Birth Certificate.

• Proof of Local Government Area of Origin.

• Letter from Community Paramount Ruler (Only for Host Communities Merit Award).

• Letter from CDC Chairman (Only for Host Communities Merit Award).

• JAMB Result.

Application Process

1. Click “Apply Now” on the application portal.

2. Register an account and verify via email.

3. Log in and complete the application form, providing personal details, educational background, and National Identification Number (NIN) (if available).

4. Upload required documents and review them carefully before submission.

5. Submit the application and receive an email and SMS confirmation.

6. Download the profile form, get it signed by the Head of Department (HOD), and re-upload the signed copy for verification.

Important Notes

• Aptitude Test: Shortlisted candidates will be invited for a computer-based test at designated centers.

• Transport Costs: Applicants will bear the cost of traveling to test centers.

• Score Requirement: Only candidates who score 50% or above will be considered.

• Multiple Applications: Submitting multiple applications will lead to disqualification.

• National Identification Number (NIN): While not mandatory for application, candidates are encouraged to register for NIN via NIMC Registration.
