About the Programme
The Polish National Commission for UNESCO, in collaboration with the UNESCO Chair at AGH University of Krakow, is offering 28 fellowships to promote human resource development in developing countries. The programme provides selected fellows the opportunity to undertake 6-month individual research in Science, Technology, and Engineering at AGH University of Krakow, Poland between 1 October 2025 and 31 March 2026.
UNESCO/Poland Co-Sponsored Scholarships in Engineering 2025 Eligibility
Applicants must be from one of the 57 invited Member States across Africa, the Arab States, Asia and the Pacific, and Latin America and the Caribbean. See Annex II for the full list.
Additional eligibility criteria vary depending on the field of research (see Annex III and Annex IV).

From the Polish Authorities:

Free tuition for 6 months

Monthly stipend:

1,800 PLN for BSc students

2,200 PLN for MSc students

One-time arrival allowance:

International round-trip airfare (most direct, economy route)

Health insurance

One-time pocket allowance of $120 USD
Selection
UNESCO and the Polish authorities will jointly assess applications based on eligibility, project relevance, and diversity, including gender balance.
VISA
Applicants must arrange for their Polish visa before departure at the nearest Polish Embassy or Consulate. Visa costs are not covered by UNESCO or the Polish government.
