2025 Federal Government Scholarship Overview

The Federal Ministry of Education invites qualified Nigerian students to apply for the 2025 Nigerian Scholarship Award (NSA) and the Education Bursary Award (EBA). These awards are tenable in Nigerian public tertiary institutions and are aimed at supporting full-time students in approved fields of study.

Education Bursary Award (EBA)

2025 Federal Government Scholarship Eligibility

• Must be a registered full-time student studying Education in a Nigerian University or College of Education

• Must be in 2nd year or above (including Persons with Disabilities)

• Not a beneficiary of any other existing scholarship

2025 Federal Government Scholarship Benefits

• Financial assistance to support students studying Education
• Valid throughout the academic session
• Non-renewable if combined with any other scholarship

Nigerian Scholarship Award (NSA)

2025 Federal Government Scholarship Eligibility

• Postgraduate students must hold a Second Class Upper Division first degree and be registered full-time in a Federal or State University

• Undergraduate and HND students must:

  • Be full-time in a Federal/State University, Polytechnic, or Monotechnic

  • Be in 2nd year or above

  • Have a minimum CGPA of 4.0/5.0 or 5.0/7.0 (Undergraduates)

  • HND students must have at least 3.5/4.0 CGPA

• Medicine and Medical Sciences

• Education

• Agriculture

• Law

• Liberal Arts/Social/Management Sciences

• Environmental Sciences

• ICT and Entrepreneurship

2025 Federal Government Scholarship Benefits

• Financial support toward tuition and academic costs
• Recognized by the Federal Government for full-time studies only

Required Documents

• Letter of admission

• CGPA result

• State of Origin Certificate

Double applications will be disqualified

Important Information

• Awards must not be combined with other scholarships

• No part-time students are eligible

• Course/institution cannot be changed during the tenure of the award

• Application is completely free — no agents are involved
