RAIN 2025 Scholarships for Robotics and Artificial Intelligence in Nigeria Overview

The Robotics and Artificial Intelligence Nigeria (RAIN) 2025 Scholarship Program offers highly sought-after opportunities to individuals passionate about emerging technologies of the Fourth Industrial Revolution (4IR). The program supports participants with partial tuition funding to study in Ibadan, Nigeria, and equips them with practical skills in robotics, AI, machine learning, IoT, drone systems, and automation.

Applicants must meet the following requirements:

• Academic Background:

  • Recent graduates, preferably with a first-class degree or excellent academic references.

  • Fields: Engineering, Computer Science, Computing, Mathematics, or Physical Sciences.

  • Passionate individuals without university degrees may be considered if they demonstrate exceptional skill and interest.

• Technical Requirements:

  • Strong coding skills (especially Python, C++, or C).

  • Must have access to a laptop (Core i7, 16GB RAM recommended).

  • Willing to relocate to Ibadan, Nigeria (accommodation not covered).

• Residency:

  • Open to all legally permitted individuals in Nigeria and West Africa, not restricted to Nigerian citizens.

Selection Criteria

Applicants will be shortlisted based on:

Shortlisted candidates will be invited for an interview and must provide:

• Comprehensive CV/resume

• Two recommendation letters addressed to the Director, RAIN

• Academic transcripts

• Proof of coding projects/skills

• Other supporting documents as required

Program Tracks

1. Robot Development and Automation (RDA)

   • Robotics, IoT, drone systems, control theory, embedded systems, SLAM, ROS, AI integration.

2. AI & Machine Learning (AIML)

   • Machine learning algorithms, neural networks, computer vision, NLP, and data science (curriculum available on RAIN’s website).

3. Combined Program

   • Full integration of RDA and AIML programs for comprehensive 4IR training.

• Tuition and starter kit covered only

• No monthly stipend, laptop, or housing provided (RAIN may help arrange accommodation)

• Program is full-time and extremely hands-on
