Category of Enrollment

• Full-time undergraduate students

• Not applicable for 2+2 or 1+3 programs

• Not available for English-taught BA programs

• Other undergraduate programs are eligible

East China Normal University Excellent Freshmen Scholarship 2025 Eligibility

Application Target:

• Must be a non-Chinese citizen in good health

• Must have an excellent high school academic record

• Winners of major competitions (in China or abroad) are preferred

• Must not be receiving any other type of scholarship or fellowship

East China Normal University Excellent Freshmen Scholarship 2025 Degree Requirement:

• Must have a high school diploma

• Must be under 25 years old

Language Requirement:

• Must have an HSK-5 certificate with a minimum score of 180

Scholarship Coverage

• A living allowance of 2,500 RMB/month for 12 months of the first academic year

• Tuition fees are not covered

Application Procedures

Step 1: Apply Online

• Register and submit an application via ECNU Online Application Portal

• Pay the application fee

Application Documents:

• Refer to the requirements for undergraduate programs

1. Applications via email or fax will not be accepted.

2. Incomplete applications or failure to pay the fee will not be processed.

3. Application documents and fees are non-refundable, regardless of admission status.

4. Applicants do not need to send hard copies of documents by post.

5. ECNU may require applicants to provide original or authenticated documents for verification.

Step 2: Track Application Status Online

• Check your email or log into the ECNU online application portal to track status.

• Ensure the email address is correct and check emails regularly for updates, including interview arrangements.

Step 3: Admission & University Enrollment

• Admission results will be announced through the ECNU application account.

• Admitted students must register on time with their original graduation certificate and degree certificate.

• Failure to provide original documents will result in the cancellation of admission.
