Job Responsibilities:

1. Translate a variety of documents from Chinese to English and vice versa
2. Ensure accuracy and consistency of translated content
3. Edit and proofread translated materials to ensure quality and maintain context and style
4. Adapt translations to target audience and cultural nuances to ensure effective communication
5. Discuss translation requirements with clients, including fees, services, and contract agreements
6. Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with professionalism and discretion
7. Provide language support to Mandarin-speaking employees or clients
Required Qualifications
Language & Education
Fluent in Mandarin Chinese and English (written and spoken)
Bachelor’s degree in Translation, Linguistics, Chinese Studies, or related field (preferred)
HSK Level 4 or above preferred for Mandarin proficiency verification

Experience & Skills

• Proven working experience as a Chinese Translator
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both languages
• In-depth knowledge of Chinese culture, customs, and business practices
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure
• Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team
