Job Title: Monitoring and Observability Engineer
Responsibilities:
- Set Up and Manage New Relic Dashboards:Â Design, implement, and maintain New Relic dashboards to provide real-time insights into system performance and health.
- Monitoring and Alerting:Â Develop and configure monitoring and alerting solutions using New Relic to ensure timely detection and resolution of issues.
- Synthetic Monitoring:Â Implement synthetic monitoring to simulate user interactions and proactively identify potential problems.
- Training and Mentorship:Â Train and mentor existing team members to enhance their skills in observability and monitoring, enabling them to scale up the monitoring efforts.
- Performance Optimization:Â Analyze performance data and provide recommendations for optimizing system performance and reliability.
- Collaboration:Â Work closely with development, operations, and support teams to ensure seamless integration of monitoring solutions.
- Documentation:Â Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for monitoring setups, processes, and best practices.
Qualifications:
- Experience:Â Proven experience with New Relic and observability tools, including setting up dashboards, monitoring, alerting, and synthetic monitoring.
- Technical Skills:Â Strong understanding of monitoring and observability concepts, performance optimization, and incident management.
- Communication:Â Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to train and mentor team members effectively.
- Problem-Solving:Â Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
- Team Player:Â Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certifications:Â Relevant certifications in New Relic or other observability tools.
- Industry Knowledge:Â Experience in data, insights, or consulting environments.
