The Providence Memorial Undergraduate Scholarship honors the legacy of Providence Ebubechi Napoleon (née Okoye) by empowering Black or African students studying in English-speaking African countries. The scholarship provides financial support to promising students who demonstrate academic excellence, leadership, and a commitment to community service.

Providence Memorial Undergraduate Scholarship 2025 Eligibility

To qualify, applicants must:

• Be a Black or African student

• Be enrolled in or planning to attend an accredited undergraduate program in an English-speaking African country

• Show academic excellence, leadership, and community involvement

Providence Memorial Undergraduate Scholarship 2025 Benefits

• Up to $250 per year, renewable for up to 4 years

•  Funds can be used for tuition, room, or board

•  Total scholarship value: $1,000 USD

• Scholarship recipients are selected based on academic potential, character, and alignment with the values of compassion, faith, and service

• Support is provided throughout the undergraduate journey, with renewal based on academic standing and conduct

• Annual progress reports and transcripts are required for renewal

Applicants must submit:

• One recommendation letter (from a teacher, professor, community, or church leader)

• Proof of enrollment or admission into an eligible undergraduate program

• Most recent academic transcript

• Personal essay (500–750 words) on:
  “How do you hope to create a legacy of compassion, faith, and dedication through your education, career, and personal life?”
