The University of Brescia is offering 2 STAR scholarships for non-EU students enrolling in bachelor’s degree programs for the 2025/2026 academic year. The scholarship is for the normal duration of the study program and includes an annual grant of €6,150.
STAR Scholarships for Non-EU Students at the University of Brescia (2025/2026) Eligibility
Applicants must:
- Have a high school diploma obtained in a non-EU country.
- Be citizens and residents of a developing country (as per Decree n. 440/2024) or from priority countries: Cuba, Egypt, El Salvador, Jordan, Iraq, Kenya, Lebanon, Tunisia, and Palestinian territories.
- Be enrolling for the first time at an Italian university.
- Have completed at least 12 years of schooling (or have an additional 1-year post-secondary course if schooling was less than 12 years).
- Provide proof of language proficiency (B2 level in Italian or English, depending on the program).

- Scholarship grant of €6,150 per year.

STAR Scholarships for Non-EU Students at the University of Brescia (2025/2026) Application Requirements
Applicants must submit:
- Online application by March 31, 2025 (12:00 PM Italian time) via the PICA platform: Apply Here.
- High school diploma certificate (translated if necessary).
- Proof of language proficiency (B2 CEFR certificate in English or Italian).
- CV (max. 2 pages) in Italian or English.
- Reference letter (optional but recommended).
- Valid passport or identity document.
- Additional documents (if required by the selection board).
STAR Scholarships for Non-EU Students at the University of Brescia (2025/2026) Selection Criteria
Applications will be evaluated based on:
- The relevance and quality of the high school diploma.
- Academic performance and CV.
- A possible interview for shortlisted candidates.
In case of a tie, younger applicants will be given priority.
Application Process
- Apply online by March 31, 2025.
- The ranking list will be published by May 15, 2025 on the University of Brescia website.
- Selected candidates must accept the scholarship within 10 days of notification.
Scholarship Renewal
- Must earn at least 24 CFUs (credits) by August 10, 2026 to renew for the second year.
- Must earn at least 48 CFUs by August 10, 2027 to renew for the third year.
- Must attend an Italian language course (or pass a language test) to renew.
Additional Notes
- Scholarship recipients must apply for an Italian study visa through Universitaly.
- Scholarship payments are made in two installments, with the second half dependent on earning 9 CFUs.
- The scholarship cannot be combined with other Italian government grants.
